Traction Test Engineer

You test and validate electrical drive systems for rail vehicles in a modern test center in Zürich.

Tasks

• Test and validate traction and auxiliary supply inverters
• Set up and commission electrical drivetrains as well as test bench and laboratory environments
• Conduct electrical, thermal, functional, and performance tests
• Analyze measurement results and identify causes of errors
• Qualify and evaluate power semiconductors such as IGBT and SiC technologies
• Take responsibility for electrical setup and the safe execution of tests
• Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and test methods

Profile

• Completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, software engineering, or comparable
• Practical experience in an electrotechnical environment
• Completed vocational training in the field of electrical engineering, electronics, automation, or mechatronics is an advantage
• Interest in power electronics and new semiconductor technologies
• Independent way of working and a high sense of responsibility
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Very good German skills, good English skills are an advantage
