Technical Responsibility "Cyber Defense Center" The "Security Operations & Engineering" unit consists of two teams: the "Identity and Access Management" and the "Cyber Defense Center" (CDC) departments. The advertised position is located in the CDC. The main tasks of the CDC include the detection of cyber threats, the analysis of security events, as well as the processing of cyber security incidents. Your tasks * Technical leadership of the CDC department with 6 employees: responsibility for the operation as well as the further development of the CDC infrastructure, the services and processes, as well as the organizational and technical planning of the department; * Technical responsibility (and/or deputy) for the operation and further development of individual CDC services and technical components; * analyze, verify and evaluate IT security events, investigate security-relevant incidents and initiate countermeasures; * carrying out threat analyses at tactical and operational levels, using the insights gained to improve detection and prevention. Informing those involved about relevant threats; * supporting automated vulnerability analysis and advising the responsible bodies on the risks; * ensuring the 7x24 on-call service of the Cyber Defense Center in cooperation with your team colleagues. Your profile * Degree in computer science (Bachelor/Master) with 10 years of experience in information security or in the field of engineering/software development as well as further training in information security; * activity as a Security Analyst/Engineer in a Security Operations Center as well as profound knowledge of the relevant tools (SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, Vulnerability Scanning, forensic analysis, etc.); * pronounced competence in technical leadership, analytical and conceptual skills, good communication skills, teamwork, service orientation as well as a conscientious and reliable appearance. Experience in technical leadership is an advantage; * comprehensive understanding of information systems, networks, internet, data transfer protocols and operating systems (Windows, Linux); * good knowledge of modern attack and defense methods, technological developments as well as the current threat situation; * practice in Detection Engineering, especially with Sigma rules, YARA signatures as well as SIEM and analysis platforms; * script and programming skills preferably in Python, Bash and Powershell; * good oral and written German and English skills, French is an advantage.
