Job description ______ Quantitative Analyses Portfolio Manager (80% - 100%) Zurich / Permanent employment / hybrid The Banking Operations organizational unit focuses on simplifying and securing the operation of non-cash payment systems. It accompanies developments in non-cash payment traffic and develops decision-making bases for the strategic orientation of the SNB. Conceptual and empirical work is carried out for this purpose. Empirical work involves managing large datasets and analyses based on advanced statistical methods.   Your mission ##   • Coordination of the cross-functional Quantitative Analyses portfolio • Definition of performance objectives and the planning process at the portfolio and organizational unit level • Portfolio focused on the development of evidence-based decision-making bases intended for non-cash payment traffic and financial market infrastructure • Project management and advising management on topics related to non-cash payment traffic and financial market infrastructures • Development of advanced empirical methods and high-dimensional datasets • Application of current research knowledge to concrete problems • Co-definition of the SNB and Banking Operations strategy regarding data science Your profile ##   • Leadership experience such as team or project management • Keen interest in lateral leadership methods and a strong sense of organization • 7 to 10 years of professional experience related to economic, political, and financial decision-making problems • In-depth knowledge of econometrics, statistics, and data science; very good programming skills and mastery of professional data science environments • Scientific working method (e.g. publications, promotion) • Excellent sense of cooperation and team spirit; perfect command of French or German as well as English, both written and spoken Our offer ### We offer you a varied activity serving the general interest of Switzerland and significantly supporting the economy, the population, and the stability of the financial system.
