Amt für Informatik Technology Innovation Architect 80 - 100% The Amt für Informatik (AFI) is the IT competence center of the Canton of Zürich. It provides comprehensive services in the area of central IT infrastructure and canton-wide applications for the directorates, authorities, justice system, and independent institutions. Tasked with the implementation of the new Information and Communication Technology (ICT) strategy, the Amt für Informatik accompanies and supports the Canton of Zürich into the digital world. In the Digital Innovation Hub (DIH), we shape technological innovation in the Canton of Zürich. We recognize relevant developments early, identify potential for the administration, and make new technologies tangible through concrete use cases. Not just observing new technologies, but developing, testing, and making them fly yourself. As a Technology Innovation Architect with a focus on product development, you develop convincing use cases together with the administrative units and accompany them in recognizing, assessing, and practically testing the potential of modern technologies. Your tasks: * You keep an eye on technology trends, assess their relevance, and actively help develop the technology radar of the canton. * You help shape innovation workshops and formats, make new technologies tangible, and identify concrete use cases together with those involved. * You develop and validate prototypes (PoC) and pilot projects (MVP) together with the administrative units and derive insights from them regarding potential, feasibility, and areas of application. * You further develop and actively maintain the partner network with industry, universities, and administration. * You advise the involved departments during the transfer of technological innovations into value creation. * You prepare results and recommendations in a target-group-oriented manner and present them to the relevant committees as a basis for decision-making. Your profile: * Technical background and several years of experience in digital innovation and product development projects, including rapid prototyping and validation of PoCs and MVPs. * Further education at CAS/MAS level, e.g., in IT architecture, technology management, or innovation & tech. * Familiar with innovation methods such as Design Thinking, prototyping techniques, and co-creation. * Hands-on mentality, strong implementation competence, and pleasure in converting ideas into tangible solutions. * Strategic thinking skills, persuasiveness, and strong presentation skills in German. * Ability to bring together different stakeholders from specialist departments, IT, and external partners; network in the Swiss tech or innovation landscape is an advantage.
