Security Architect Zero Trust

Tasks

• Definition and documentation of Zero Trust principles and target architectures according to NIST, including Explicit Verification, Least Privilege, and continuous assessment of identity, device, and context
• Analysis of the existing architecture and security landscape, especially IAM/PAM, AD/Entra, network segmentation, Endpoint Security, Cloud, APIs, Service Identities, Secrets Management as well as Logging and Monitoring
• Development of a holistic Zero Trust domain model for Identity, Devices, Network, Applications/Workloads, and Data as well as cross-cutting areas such as Visibility, Automation, and Governance
• Definition and prioritization of technical capabilities, dependencies, and concrete Zero Trust use cases, as well as creation of actionable roadmaps
• Development of reference architectures, security patterns, and technical guardrails as binding guidelines for projects and platform teams
• Conception and support of MVPs and pilots to validate architectural approaches, reduce risks, and prepare for scalable implementation

Requirement breadth

• Several years of experience as a Security Architect in large regulated environments
• Experience with security architecture (IAM/PAM, Network / Segmentation, Cloud Security, Application Security, and Data Security)
• Sound understanding of established Zero Trust reference models (especially NIST) as well as their translation into concrete technical architectures and programs

Advantageous

• Program steering/portfolio experience, experience in leading complex transformation initiatives

Personality

• Sufficient standing and communication strength to work at eye level with Enterprise Architecture, CIO organization, infrastructure teams, and application owners and to help shape decisions
