As of 1 August 2026 or by arrangement, we are looking for a social pedagogue (after-school care management) The Tagesschule Mattenhof sees itself as a learning community in which children and adults grow together. We accompany children in their personal and social development, strengthen their independence, and create an environment in which they feel safe, can try out new things, and grow from their experiences. For our care at the primary level, we are looking for a committed social pedagogue who takes on responsibility, actively lends a hand, thinks ahead, and shapes everyday care together with our team. Tasks ## Workload: 75 % - with the possibility of increasing the workload   • Accompanying and promoting the children during non-teaching time, during lunch, as well as in holiday care and on school-free days • Participation in the further development of our pedagogical work as well as taking on administrative, organizational, and planning tasks • Shaping a varied, development-promoting, and age-appropriate everyday care routine • Cooperation with teachers, parents, and other specialists • Active co-shaping of the Tagesschule and participation in the implementation of the project «Betreuungs- und Freizeitangebote» (BeFrei) • Depending on interest and qualification, accompanying and training apprentices Fachperson Betreuung (FaBe) or readiness to take on the function as a practical instructor (PA) Profile ## • Degree in Social Pedagogy (FH/HF), Social Work (FH/HF), or an equivalent recognized qualification • Professional experience in working with children aged 4 to 12 years • Joy in accompanying children in their development and promoting their independence • You take responsibility, think along, and act proactively • You contribute initiative, recognize the need for action, and naturally lend a hand in everyday care • You work in a structured, solution-oriented manner and appreciate cooperation in an interdisciplinary team • Computers are a work tool for you and not an obstacle - you enjoy completing administrative tasks reliably • Very good German language skills   For foreign diplomas and professional qualifications, Swiss recognition of the diploma is mandatory We offer ## • A versatile and meaningful activity with room for design and responsibility • A committed, humorous, and supportive care team • Close cooperation with teachers and other specialists • The opportunity to actively help shape the further development of our Tagesschule as well as the project «BeFrei» • Support from the Head of Care • Opportunity to develop further as a practical instructor • Employment conditions and remuneration according to the guidelines of the City of Zürich • A modern workplace in the immediate vicinity of the Stettbach station Apply Apply About us ## The Schulkreis Schwamendingen comprises the entire district 12 of the City of Zürich. The Schule Mattenhof is located in the immediate vicinity of the Stettbach station and is easily accessible by public transport. At our school, three kindergarten classes as well as ten mixed-age primary classes are taught. In our two care facilities, we accompany and provide meals for up to 190 children daily. Since 2020, the Schule Mattenhof has been run as a Tagesschule and continuously develops the cooperation between instruction and care.
