Gastronomy Employee 40% at GZ Affoltern

The Zürcher Gemeinschaftszentren are socio-cultural institutions for residents of the city of Zürich. The Gemeinschaftszentrum (GZ) Affoltern is looking for a Gastronomy Employee 40% as of 1 October 2026 or by arrangement. This position offers you the opportunity to contribute your valuable experience in gastronomy while simultaneously developing your personal skills. As a central hub of our operation, you are an important contact point for guests, provide competent advice regarding wishes and concerns, and coordinate the smooth running of service. Your area of responsibility You welcome GZ visitors (adults, children, and adolescents) and create a pleasant atmosphere in the cafeteria as a lively meeting place You actively participate in shaping the gastronomy range and continuously develop it further Together with your female team colleague, you take over the assortment and offer planning, purchasing, and preparation – with a focus on snacks and cakes You ensure compliance with all food hygiene regulations and manage the warehouse You ensure the maintenance and cleaning of the entire gastronomic infrastructure You instruct civil service workers, individuals in non-profit assignments, and hourly-paid employees and work closely with them You help plan the culinary offer for various GZ events and support its implementation – also occasionally in the evening and on weekends What distinguishes you You bring experience in the independent management of a gastronomy range and a completed vocational training in the hospitality industry You work independently and carefully and possess high organizational skills You are used to working in a lively operation and enjoy interacting with different people You are proficient in using Microsoft 365 and have good German language skills What awaits you You have a diverse activity with personal responsibility and plenty of creative freedom The working days are Wednesday and Friday, in addition to approx. 8 assignments on weekends and approx. 5 assignments in the evening per year You work at an attractive, lively, and well-anchored location in the neighborhood You work in a committed, motivated, and professional team and participate in regular overall team and GZ-wide meetings Depending on relevant training and professional experience, a starting gross annual salary (100%) between CHF 65'768.- and CHF 75'962.- About us and how to proceed?
