Vocational Trainer Emergency Services

Schutz & Rettung Zürich (SRZ), as a service department of the Sicherheitsdepartement, combines the professional and militia fire departments, Sanität, and the Einsatzleitzentrale (ELZ) for the emergency numbers 144 and 118. Additionally, Zivilschutz, Feuerpolizei, and a training center with an attached Höhere Fachschule für Rettungsberufe (HFRB) belong to the largest civilian rescue organization in Switzerland. Intervention and prevention units protect and rescue people, animals, material assets, and the environment around the clock in the city of Zürich, at Zürich airport, and in the agglomeration.

Tasks

• Learning support / Coaching of the students and contact person for all questions
• Ensuring a high quality standard of practical training
• Active engagement with the professional content of the courses
• Developing learning situations
• Monitoring, documentation, and assessment of the training status
• Exchange of experience with other vocational trainers
• Assistance with the introduction of new employees

Profile

• Professional experience as a dipl. Rettungssanitäter*in HF as well as profound and current specialist knowledge
• Very good knowledge of the SRZ structures and process flows
• Excellent organizational skills
• High empathy and good communication skills
• Pedagogical skills and possibly experience in the training sector
• Joy in participating in exercises / learning days of the students
