Your job – versatile, independent and operational

Do you like being in the middle of the action, rolling up your sleeves and don't want to spend the whole day at a desk?

As an Allrounder Air Freight Import & Export, you will take over the independent handling of air freight shipments and actively support our team in operational airport operations. You will regularly be on the move airside, take care of pickups and deliveries and also process AOG and time-critical shipments.

Your tasks

• Independent handling of air freight import & export from A–Z
• Import, export and customs clearance as well as document processing
• Pickup and delivery of shipments at Zürich Flughafen
• Operational work airside as well as goods receipt and handover
• Cooperation with airlines, handling agents, customs, customers and partners
• Processing of AOG, express and time-critical shipments
• Compliance with security, customs and airport regulations
• Participation in shift and on-call service

Shift & On-call

• Shift operation according to deployment planning
• Approx. 1× per month a full on-call week (incl. weekend)
• On-call as an afternoon service on site with standby availability evening/night
• Independent care of urgent shipments and AOG cases during the on-call period

Your profile

• Completed training in the field of freight forwarding / logistics
• Several years of experience in air freight
• Good knowledge of import and export experience in independent shipment handling
• Good German and English skills
• Driver's license category B
• Airside experience is an advantage
• Independent, reliable, resilient and flexible
• You like to roll up your sleeves and are also on the move operationally
• Readiness for shift and on-call service
• Impeccable record

Pre-selection questions

1. Do you live a maximum of approx. 30 minutes from Zürich Flughafen?
2. Do you have an impeccable record (no entries in the criminal register)?
3. Do you possess a valid driver's license of category B?
4. Are you ready for shift operation and approx. 1× monthly a full on-call week as an afternoon service with standby availability in the evenings & night including weekends and public holidays?
5. Do you have experience in the independent handling of air freight import and export?

Please note: The pre-selection questions are a prerequisite and mandatory for this position.

You should be someone who sees what needs to be done and also does it themselves. Whether a shipment needs to be processed, goods picked up, a document checked, a delivery carried out or an urgent shipment looked after during on-call service – you are ready to pitch in where you are needed.
