SONART - Musikschaffende Schweiz is the professional association for professional music creators in Switzerland. SONART advocates for the interests of professional musicians of all genres throughout Switzerland and in all language regions, with a special focus on freelance musical activity. Our focal points are in the areas of cultural policy, the music market, and social security. We advocate for fair economic, social, and legal frameworks for music creators, engage in cultural policy, and offer our members an extensive range of advisory and service offerings. To complement our team in Zürich, we are looking for a dedicated Communications, PR & Campaigns Employee 60% starting 01. October 2026 or by arrangement. Your Tasks You are responsible for the communication of SONART and, together with the management, ensure that our topics and positions are perceived by members, media, politics, the music industry, and the public. Your tasks include, in particular: • Planning, further development, and implementation of SONART's communication strategy • Conception, planning, and implementation of communication and awareness campaigns on cultural policy and industry-relevant topics • Development of messages and target-group-oriented communication measures for different channels • Media work and PR: Writing press releases, processing and coordinating media inquiries, and maintaining media contacts in consultation with the management • Monitoring the media and cultural policy debate and identifying suitable communication opportunities • Planning, production, and publication of social media posts • Editorial support and further development of our website, newsletters, and other communication tools • Writing, editing, and preparing texts for different target groups and channels • Planning and implementation of measures to mobilize our members and other target groups within the framework of campaigns • Coordination of communication with partner organizations and other actors on joint topics and campaigns • Communicative support for selected projects and events Your Profile • Training or university degree in communication, PR, marketing, or a comparable field, or corresponding professional experience • Several years of practical experience in communication and public relations • Experience in the conception and implementation of campaigns is an advantage • Strong sense for social and political topics as well as public communication • Very good editorial skills and enjoyment in preparing even complex content in an understandable and concise manner • Experience in dealing with media as well as with social media and digital communication • Experience in the Swiss music or cultural industry and/or knowledge of the cultural policy environment is an advantage • Very good German skills in speaking and writing (C1 level or native language) • Good French skills in speaking and writing are required • Italian skills are an advantage • Confident use of common graphic and layout programs as well as experience in the creation and editing of image, video, and audio content • IT affinity and enjoyment in working with new digital tools and applications is an advantage • Structured, independent, and reliable way of working as well as the ability to keep an eye on several topics at once • Initiative, teamwork, and enjoyment in actively driving topics forward Our Offer • A varied field of activity at the intersection of music, culture, politics, and communication • A lot of personal responsibility and creative freedom • Collaboration in a small and dedicated team • An open and team-oriented work culture with short decision-making paths • Central workplace in Zürich • Industry-standard employment conditions For further information, Cécile Drexel, Manager of SONART - Musikschaffende Schweiz, T: 031 511 52 61 is happy to assist you.
