Network / Operation Engineer, 80-100 %

With your know-how, you will keep our telecommunications and network infrastructure running and develop it further.

Tasks ##

• You are responsible for the operation and expansion of the telecommunications platforms (FTTH-/Business-Services) of ewz Telecom.
• You reliably operate, maintain and monitor our network infrastructure and the associated management systems.
• You contribute your know-how and actively participate in network projects, rollouts and infrastructure migrations.
• You provide on-call service in 2nd/3rd level support, analyze and resolve complex network faults and perform root-cause analyses.
• As an ewz.zürinet expert, you support the technical conception of new network solutions and work closely with internal IT teams as well as external service providers and manufacturers.

Profile ##

• You have a degree (Uni/FH/HF/EFZ) in computer science, telematics, information technology or a related field - alternatively, you can demonstrate equivalent training and corresponding professional experience.
• You have several years of professional experience in network engineering and are very familiar with the operation and maintenance of telecommunications equipment.
• You are familiar with Nokia, Cisco or comparable network environments and have good knowledge of MPLS, WDM, routing and switching as well as the corresponding protocols.
• You have experience in network monitoring and troubleshooting and approach challenges analytically and solution-oriented.
• A quick grasp, accuracy and team spirit characterize you, additionally you can communicate well in English and possess a driving license of category B.
