Senior Project Manager Interior Fit-out / Project Manager (100%, permanent) For a Swiss design-&-build company with a small team in Zürich, we are looking for an experienced person for projects in retail construction, workplace, healthcare, and commercial interior fit-out. You will lead selected projects from early development and cost clarification to realization and handover. The role combines project management, customer consulting, construction management, and economic responsibility. It is an operative senior role without line management. Tasks: • Advise customers on architecture, interior fit-out, and building technology • Develop or plausibilize feasibility, cost frameworks, and cost estimates • Structure tenders and scopes of work, compare offers, and accompany contract awards • Manage budgets, schedules, quality, project profitability, and administrative processes • Coordinate architects, specialist planners, lessors, authorities, suppliers, and executing trades • Accompany building permit applications and communication with authorities • Control construction management, site logistics, addenda, and critical project situations • Lead acceptances, defect rectification, invoices, post-calculation, and project completion • Support internal project managers with difficult questions • Practically and economically adapt existing concepts for new rollout locations Requirements: • Education or sound practical background in architecture, construction management, civil engineering, construction economics, technical planning, or comparable construction qualification • Experience in a general contractor or design-&-build environment in interior fit-out • Demonstrable responsibility over multiple project phases through to execution and handover • Personal experience with cost estimates, tenders, offer comparisons, addenda, invoices, and project controlling • Experience in the coordination of trades and in solving concrete construction site problems • German for negotiations, technical documentation, and construction site meetings • Willingness for initially 100% presence in Zürich and project-related travel within Switzerland • Interest in a hands-on senior role without line management responsibility Advantageous: • Retail construction, retail rollout, or interior fit-out GC/GC • Client representative and experience at tenant/landlord interfaces • SIA guidelines, Swiss permit procedures, and HVAC/electrical/sanitary interfaces • Smartsheet, ERP, Kanban, or comparable project tools • French for projects in Romandie Framework conditions: • Location Zürich Hardbrücke, first six months 100% on-site • Permanent, 100% • Fixed salary CHF 100'000-120'000 depending on experience and project responsibility, no variable bonus • Overtime compensated with fixed salary • Projects in German-speaking Switzerland, Romandie, and Ticino • Start November/December 2026 preferred, January 2027 possible • Four weeks vacation plus one additional compensation week • Half-fare travelcard, 1st class on longer business trips, pool vehicle with possible private use, and Apple equipment
