Data Platform Engineer The Databases and Storage Systems business unit in IT Infrastructure provides central data platforms and forms the basis for the productive and operational functioning of IT. It uses modern technologies to ensure the availability, processing, and provision of data as well as its protection. Through consistent automation, operational efficiency, scalability, and traceability in operations are increased. The place of work is Zürich. Your tasks Construction, operation, and further development of on-premises infrastructure platforms on Linux servers and OpenShift; Construction, integration, and operation of data platform components based on Kafka and Elasticsearch; Automation of infrastructure, configurations, and deployments with Ansible, Puppet, and Bash; Performing on-call service in 2nd-level. Your profile Degree in computer science, engineering, or a similar field (FH/Uni/ETH); Technical knowledge: Red Hat Linux, OpenShift, Kafka, Elasticsearch, , Bash, GitLab Experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation, and GitOps principles, especially with ArgoCD, GitLab, and Ansible; Business fluent in German or Swiss German as well as in English.
