With around 2400 employees, the Social Department of the City of Zurich works every day for a social Zurich. Through their work in the five social centers, the Social Services ensure that people in the City of Zurich can rely on effective basic social provision. In addition to the social-space-related outpatient services, various institutions and counseling centers provide services for the entire City of Zurich. This also includes Infodona - a counseling center specialized in migration and integration. Infodona offers personal counseling and support within the framework of social assistance and integration legislation. With its services, the counseling center promotes the social, economic, and cultural participation of people with migration experience in the City of Zurich. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a motivated social worker as soon as possible or by arrangement. Social Worker Counseling Migration & Integration (Dari/Farsi) 60 % Tasks • You advise people from the City of Zurich in Dari/Farsi and in other languages such as Italian, French, and English on topics related to migration and integration. • You are familiar with municipal integration offers, accompany the integration process, and tap into social and cultural resources. • You inform and advise individuals, couples, and families on topics related to life in Zurich, including in the areas of family, education, law, finance, work, housing, or health. • You offer psychosocial counseling in difficult personal and/or family situations. • You work together with public and private bodies and mediate further and specialized counseling offers. Profile • Bachelor in Social Work (university level), specialization in Social Work • Proficient German language skills as well as fluent in Dari/Farsi mandatory, additional foreign language skills in French, English, Italian, and others are a plus • Professional experience in counseling activities and transcultural competencies • Methodological and specialist knowledge of migration and integration topics; especially in the areas of migration law and social insurance law • Resilient, flexible, and communicative personality with a solution-oriented way of working and sound social competencies We offer At our centrally located site in the heart of Zurich, you strengthen the social participation of people with migration experience, support them in challenging life situations, and open up new perspectives.
