WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

In this key position, you will actively shape the future of ground-based air defence while simultaneously creating the foundation for professional, future-oriented product management. With great creative freedom, you will further develop structures, processes, and methods and successively take on strategic responsibility for the further development of our Air Defence portfolio. In doing so, you will work closely with management as well as central internal and external stakeholders and report directly to the Senior Vice President Strategy & Program Management of the Air Defence division.

Your tasks in detail:

• Further development of a high-performance product management organization as well as the establishment of suitable structures, processes, methods, and tools
• Establishment of systematic product life cycle management and continuous evaluation of product performance in the market
• Development of product and technology roadmaps and synchronization with relevant stakeholders
• Definition of product platforms and introduction of variant management
• Analysis of market, technology, threat, and customer developments
• Strategic further development and targeted expansion of the Air Defence portfolio as well as successive assumption of overall responsibility for portfolio development
• Identification and evaluation of new products, technologies, and business fields including development, cooperation, and make-or-buy options
• Support of strategic customer and sales activities
• Leadership and further development of the product management team as well as promotion of effective and entrepreneurially-oriented cooperation
• Close cooperation with Strategy, Market Intelligence, Engineering, Program Management, Sales, and Management on strategic and operational issues

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING

• Completed studies, preferably in engineering, electrical engineering, systems engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable field of study
• Profound professional experience 10 years + in product management, strategy consulting, system development, business development, or a comparable technology-oriented environment
• Experience in the defence or aerospace environment, ideally in the field of air defence, is a great advantage
• Profound methodological knowledge in product strategy, product roadmaps, portfolio management, and product life cycle management
• Strong strategic and entrepreneurial thinking combined with the ability to understand complex relationships and derive concrete measures
• High organizational and design competence as well as initiative, decision-making, and implementation strength
• Leadership personality with strong communication and teamwork skills as well as the ability to bring together different interests and stakeholders
• Confident and convincing appearance at management and customer levels as well as enjoyment of working in an international environment
• Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
