As a Data Engineer in the Medical Data Products team, you ensure that clinical data can be used reliably, securely, and efficiently. You develop and operate modern data solutions, integrate new data sources, and ensure the sustainable provision of data for various application areas. In this way, you create the technical foundation for data-based processes and decisions in healthcare. The Universitätsspital Zürich is one of the largest hospitals in Switzerland. Our over 8'600 employees and around 700 trainees commit themselves daily to the well-being of our patients. ### Your main tasks • Operation and continuous further development of our clinical data platform and data products based on it • Development and maintenance of interfaces, data pipelines, and integration solutions • Exploiting, integrating, and harmonizing new data sources • Analysis of data requirements as well as development and implementation of suitable data solutions with specialist departments and stakeholders • Ensuring data quality, traceability, and reliable operating processes • Creation and maintenance of technical documentation, architecture, and operating concepts Your profile • University or technical college degree in computer science, medical informatics, or a comparable field of study • Several years of experience in data engineering as well as in the construction and operation of data-oriented solutions • Sound knowledge in SQL, C# with .NET, data modeling, and the processing of large amounts of data with SSIS, Spark, dbt, and Airflow as well as the implementation of Power BI reports • Experience with data integration and streaming technologies as well as the construction of robust data pipelines • Good knowledge of Python, Java, or comparable technologies and interest in modern platform, cloud, and DevOps topics • Structured and independent way of working as well as a high awareness of data quality, data protection, and sustainable solution architectures Our benefits We look forward to your application Daniel Buschor Recruiting About the USZ The Universitätsspital Zürich is one of the largest hospitals in Switzerland.
