Project Manager: in strategic concepts and resource planning 80-100%

Universitätsspital Zürich is significantly renewing and expanding its structural infrastructure in the coming decades to meet the high demands of modern cutting-edge medicine as well as the needs of patients and employees. Based on performance development forecasts, the future resource requirements are determined together with the core business, and from this, the long-term structural target planning (master planning) including the required phasing is developed. Your main tasks

As a Project Manager, you will design the hospital of the future together with your colleagues in the identically named department and with USZ-internal and external experts. You coordinate all activities from resource calculation to the start of the project planning for the upcoming strategic construction projects.

The three-person team reports directly to the Head of Planning, Construction and Space Management, works interdisciplinary, very independently and self-organized. You are responsible within the team for the following tasks:

• Revision and further development of the target planning / master planning for the (structural) total renewal including associated phases and relocations
• Further development of the overarching processes of the hospital as well as the central strategic concepts as a basis for the hospital of the future
• Creation of analyses as well as forecasts for performance development (outpatient and inpatient care as well as research & teaching)
• Analysis and determination of the resource requirements of USZ over time, e.g., for the number of examination rooms, hospital beds, operating theaters and workplaces
• Development of operating concepts and support for their implementation (focus on medicine, nursing and medical-technical and medical-therapeutic professions, research and teaching)
• Creation of usage concepts and specifications in preparation for competitions and study assignments
• Leadership of and collaboration in interdisciplinary/interprofessional teams to develop strategies, concepts and studies
• Preparation and presentation of decision-making bases for the hospital management (GL),

Your profile

• Completed university degree with a business administration background
• Profound knowledge of clinical structures and processes as well as their functional connections within the hospital complex
• Strong analytical skills; networked and interdisciplinary thinking with creative and innovative approaches to new topics
• Experience with scenario planning methods and processes.
• Very high social and negotiation competence, extremely team-oriented
• Strong communication and presentation skills as well as assertiveness
• Cooperative/constructive and resilient, strong can-do attitude
