Relief Worker Specialist in Childcare or Social Pedagogue Schule Vogtsrain, 55-65 %

We are looking for additional reinforcement in the Vogtsrain childcare team as of 1 October 2026 or by arrangement.

Tasks ##

As a social pedagogue/specialist in childcare, you are responsible for accompanying children of primary school age and supporting the childcare teams three to four days per week from 11:00 to 18:00 or, depending on the workload, also one day from 11:00 to 14:00 (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday). You will work in an open-minded and committed childcare team with childcare managers, specialists in childcare, apprentices, and school assistants.
More detailed information can be discussed in a personal interview with the childcare management.

• You will work in up to five different lunch/after-school care centers with children aged 4-12 years.
• You will help shape the supplementary school care and leisure activities of children of primary school age.
• Cooperation within the school team on the way to becoming a full-day school (exchange, joint events, etc.)
• Domestic and administrative work
• Planning and implementation of holiday care as well as care on school-free days

Profile ##

• Professional experience in the care of children (after-school care, nursery, residential home)
• Joy in collaborating with teaching and childcare staff
• Openness and commitment in the full-day school (start SY 2026/2027)
• High flexibility and resilience as well as very good teamwork and communication skills
• Solution-oriented basic attitude in daily work and in dealing with challenges
• Humor and a positive basic attitude
• very good German language skills

You possess one of the following qualifications:

• University of Applied Sciences for Social Work (FH/HF), Pedagogical University (teacher, kindergarten teacher), completed apprenticeship as a specialist in childcare or childcare worker EFZ, or an equivalent qualification in the pedagogical field

All foreign diplomas and professional certificates must mandatory include a Swiss equivalence confirmation.

Schule Vogtsrain is located in the Höngg district near Meierhofplatz with a wonderful view of the Üetliberg. Around 280 children are cared for in our morning table and five lunch/after-school care centers.
