Product Owner Switch Cloud Portal (80-100% - all identities and backgrounds*) in Zürich Switch is the digitalization partner for universities and a non-profit foundation. Product Owner Switch Cloud Portal (80-100% - all identities and backgrounds*) in Zürich Your team and your work As Product Owner, you take responsibility for the Switch Cloud Portal, the self-service portal of our cloud solution and the central interface for our customers and end users. You work in the PRTL (Portal) circle, an interdisciplinary team of engineers, a billing specialist, as well as external engineers. The team works agilely, mostly remote, and communicates mainly in English. Together, you continuously develop the Switch Cloud Portal and ensure that usability, stability, and added value are at the center. In doing so, you are holistically responsible for product success. You prioritize along customer benefit, technical feasibility, and economic framework conditions, make well-founded decisions, and work closely with Product Management, engineering teams, as well as internal and external stakeholders. These are your main responsibilities in this role: Shape the product vision and further development of the Switch Cloud Portal together with Product Management Maintain and prioritize the product backlog and ensure that the most important topics are implemented first Formulate requirements from customers, business, technology, and framework conditions in an understandable way and translate them into implementable tasks Work closely with the engineering team and ensure that solutions are delivered with good quality and on time Ensure that processes across self-service, billing, and fulfillment work well and fit together Act as a central contact person for various stakeholders such as cloud teams, finance, sales, product management, and other product owners Keep an eye on budgets, make deviations traceable, and create transparency regarding costs and benefits Define and track important key figures and use them for decisions Collect feedback from users and stakeholders and incorporate it into the further development of the product Coordinate capacities with the team and support medium- and long-term planning Ensure that relevant guidelines and specifications are complied with, for example in the areas of data protection or architecture Make goal conflicts visible and find good solutions together with those involved What you should bring Several years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, ideally in a cloud, platform, or SaaS environment Experience in backlog management, prioritization, stakeholder coordination, and agile requirements engineering Good understanding of software development and collaboration with engineering teams Experience with customer-oriented products, ideally with self-service portals, billing systems, or service platforms Strong sense of responsibility for product results and the ability to make well-founded decisions Ability to balance customer needs, technical requirements, and economic aspects Experience with agile methods and tools such as Scrum, Kanban, or Flight Levels Clear, structured, and transparent communication as well as confident stakeholder management Very good English skills as well as good German skills Not strictly necessary, but we are pleased if you also possess the following skills: Experience with cloud pricing, billing, or FinOps Experience with UX-oriented product development or service design Knowledge of IT Service Management and/or ITIL Basic technical understanding or experience with web technologies How we work at Switch At Switch, we communicate at eye level, which is why it is important to us that we use the informal "du" from the very first contact We live collaboration and see lifelong learning as the key to success As a digitalization and innovation service provider, we shape the university environment of tomorrow Our flexible working hours and hybrid way of working enable a high compatibility of work and everyday life; you can find important details right here Bilingualism is lived DNA for us; Switchies switch between German and English very naturally in everyday life.
