NY Gastro GmbH – New opening directly at Zürich Oerlikon station

In January 2027, we are opening a restaurant with Levantine-Anatolian cuisine: 650 m², 150 seats, open 7 days a week from breakfast until late at night. Our bar is the heart of the house all day long – coffee in the morning, fresh juices and homemade lemonades during the day, wine and cocktails with the aromas of the Levant in the evening.

Head of Bar 100 %

Your tasks

• Setup and management of the entire bar concept from breakfast to evening
• Development of the beverage menu: coffee specialties, fresh juices, homemade lemonades and iced teas, non-alcoholic signature drinks, cocktails with Levantine ingredients (e.g., pomegranate, rose, mint, sumac), wine and beer selection
• Coordination of beverages with the kitchen – drinks that pair with mezze and grill
• Leadership, training, and shift planning of the bar team (approx. 4–5 persons)
• Calculation, purchasing, inventory management, and stocktaking
• Ensuring quality and tempo at the bar – even during peak times
• Working at the bar in shift operations

Your profile

Several years of experience as a bartender, of which at least [2] years in a leadership role (Head of Bar, Head Bartender, or Bar Manager)
Very good knowledge in mixology and in the development of a beverage menu
Barista experience (portafilter, milk foam, quality at high tempo)
Good wine knowledge
Proficient in calculation and inventory management
Enjoyment of aromas from Levantine and Anatolian cuisine
Good German skills, English is an advantage
Willingness to work shifts including evenings and weekends
Swiss or EU/EFTA nationality or a valid work permit for Switzerland
