Junior Sous-Chef

The SRF Restaurant Fernsehstrasse in Zürich Leutschenbach is the headquarters of SRF. Every day, 700 guests are catered for in the self-service area with 450 seats. The coffee bar has 30 seats. Additionally, the kiosk offers further variety for the guests. Furthermore, caterings are carried out for both internal and external guests. In accordance with the ZFV philosophy, cooking is done fresh on-site with regional as well as ecologically sensible and fairly traded food.

Are you ready for the next step in your culinary career? Then we are looking for you immediately or by arrangement as a Junior Sous Chef.

You work from Monday to Friday in a 100% workload from 06:00 to 15:00. Occasional evening and weekend shifts are possible.

Your area of activity:

• You support the head chef in daily kitchen operations and increasingly take on responsibility
• You work actively in production and ensure a high quality of our dishes
• You independently manage a kitchen station and support the organization of daily business
• You assist with orders, goods receipt, and inventory management
• You support caterings, apéros, and special events
• You take on initial leadership tasks and support the onboarding of new employees
• You ensure compliance with our hygiene, quality, and safety standards
• You contribute your ideas and further develop our gastronomic offering together with the team

Your strengths:

• Completed basic training as a cook: EFZ
• Some years of professional experience in gastronomy
• You want to take on responsibility and develop into a Sous-Chef
• Initial experience in the leadership or supervision of employees is an advantage
• Very good oral and written German skills
• An agile, innovative, and solution-oriented mindset
• Strong goal and guest orientation
• Ability to work in a team and enjoyment of cooperation
• Openness to change and willingness to learn new things
