The Migrationsamt des Kantons Zürich operates daily in the exciting political environment of all migration issues and the resulting tasks. It is responsible for the enforcement of Swiss foreign nationals and asylum law, the Agreement on the Free Movement of Persons between Switzerland and the EU and EFTA states, as well as the Schengen and Dublin agreements.

For the Public Services department, we are looking for, for a fixed term of one year, starting 15 January 2027 or by arrangement, a Specialist 80 - 100% (Tuesdays off) for our Contact Center.

You provide our international clientele at the information desk with general and technical information in German and foreign languages regarding the entire scope of tasks and responsibilities of the Migrationsamt, issue visas, and record biometric data. Additionally, you perform various administrative tasks in the back office, answer written inquiries via e-mail, and provide telephone information to partner authorities.

For this demanding activity, we require at least a commercial apprenticeship (Kauffrau/Kaufmann EFZ) and several years of professional experience. Good oral foreign language skills (English mandatory, French and other language/s desired) are essential. Additionally, you possess strong communicative skills, proficient IT user knowledge, and impress with high resilience, assertiveness, and a sense of collegial cooperation. Pleasant manners and the joy of a customer-oriented as well as very lively activity in a motivated team round off your profile. You hold Swiss citizenship. Ideal age from 25 years.
