Job Information ###### Work location: Zürich Flughafen (and in home office) Workload: 80-100% Tasks: Promoting innovation through the evaluation and prototyping of new Machine Learning and MLOps technologies using practical proof-of-concepts; driving the integration and operationalization of a state-of-the-art ML-based weather forecasting system at MeteoSchweiz as well as within the framework of the Digital Europe Programme (DEP); in doing so, Anemoi-based models are made production-ready and benchmarked on leading EuroHPC supercomputing centers; joint development of new weather forecasting approaches with Data Scientists and meteorologists from MeteoSchweiz as well as partner institutions across Europe; building up and further developing ML tools, services, and workflows that support reliable, production-ready weather forecasting systems in cloud and high-performance computing environments such as the Swiss National Supercomputing Centre (CSCS) Profile: University degree (at least ISCED 7) in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field; experience with MLOps, container technologies, as well as cloud platforms and HPC environments, e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and SLURM; very good programming skills in Python as well as experience with the Machine Learning framework PyTorch; committed personality with a creative, solution-oriented mindset as well as strong communication skills; active knowledge of an official language and passive knowledge of a second, as well as very good English skills Required Skills ###### • German • English • French • Italian • Mathematics • Python • Machine Learning
